Desperate Housewives Season 8, Series Finale!

Yes, finally! Yesterday I finally watched the last episode of one of my all-time favorite TV series, Desperate Housewives. This is the series’ finale, meaning there wouldn’t be any Gaby, Lynette, Bree and Susan anymore. :’)

This season mainly focused on how the four housewives (and Carlos) dealt with their guilt. Some are more depressed than the other while the secret was slowly becoming more apparent and more and more people starting to notice the unusual nature of their behaviors.

However, 2 of the regular casts died in this season, with some other surprises as well. The storyline for this season is a bit dreary and I think it is really the best step to just end the series while it still has the power to excite people.

I find Susan extremely annoying this season with Lynette occasionally pissed me off. Bree and Gaby are okay.

I have been watching this series ever since I first saw the pilot episode of season 1 in one of the local TV station here in Indonesia. But maybe due to some adult context (we all know season 1 was pretty slutty with Gaby and John’s affair and Susan locked out the house naked only to be discovered by Mike) the TV station didn’t continue to put it on.

So I am glad that the series is finally ended, with a little bit explanation of how the four housewives moved on. Gosh I’m really going to miss this. Goodbye! XO.

Big Bang Theory Actor Comes Out!

This gives a whole new meaning to “big bang” doesn’t it? “The Big Bang Theory” actor coming out isn’t exactly earth shattering news because a visually impaired and deaf person with any sort of gaydar could’ve detected that. Though Jim Parsons has neither denied or confirmed his sexuality, it’s widely known in Hollywood that he was gay. He’s been out and about with his partner at events for several years. Plus, he once thanked his boyfriend Todd Spiewak in a Golden Globes acceptance speech.

Parsons’ sexuality became official in a new interview for the New York Times. At the end of the editorial piece, the publication writes, “Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship.” The interview was to promote the June 14th Broadway opening of “Harvey“. Parsons will play Elwood P. Dowd in the Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy. This isn’t the first time Jim has appeared on the Great White Way. Last year, he starred in the Broadway revival of “The Normal Heart“.

Just in case you were wondering who Parsons’ boyfriend of ten years is… meet Todd Spiewak, an art director. The two were once rumored to be engaged and planned on having a Christmas time wedding. Those plans were nixed by Todd Spiewak when the two reportedly couldn’t agree on starting a family. Todd wants kids but Jim apparently didn’t want any. Even though kids was a marriage deal breaker, the two remain together. Maybe Spiewak is secretly hoping Parsons changes his mind.

Though Parsons sexuality wasn’t a secret, it’s great to have another Hollywood actor officially come out. Perhaps, Parsons listened to Perez Hilton’s plea for more celebrities to declare their LGBT status. Who do you think will be the next gay celebrity to officially come out of the closet?

This is one of the songs in Glee that moved me. It was sung for Kurt as a goodbye song from the Warblers.

Okay I know that don’t ask don’t tell policy has ended for some times ago, but I just found this Jimmy Kimmel video that is very hilarious! Enjoy!

This is the trailer of the upcoming Magic Mike movie based on Channing Tatum’s past as a stripper. Watch and drool girls!

The Avengers

Okay, where do I begin to describe The Avengers? It’s not awesome. It’s beyond awesome! It’s legen-wait for it-dary! Simply put, epic! I’m out of words.

The opening scene might be too slow and rather flat, but after the title showed up it just became better ever since. The gathering of the heroes wasn’t made one after another in a simultaneous way, but rather a bit scattered, giving the legit, real sensation to the movie’s already prone to cliché plot.

The story itself is about Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) who is a director of an espionage agency named S.H.I.E.L.D trying to save the world by gathering a number of extraordinary humans including Captain America/Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), Iron Man/Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), The Hulk/Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) after the unlimited energy source called the Tesseract was stolen by an Asgardian named Loki (Tom Hiddleston). Loki’s presence forced his brother Thor (Chris Hemsworth) to interfere with the S.H.I.E.L.D operation, but eventually joined them. Near the end of the story, another Nick’s henchman Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) who was previously being used by Loki also joined the force and together they try to save the earth.

The story is dynamic, while there are so many characters, all of them doesn’t seem to be shallow. This looks like a Hollywood’s version of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. You might want to watch all the previous movies before watching this to get a better understanding about their past and struggles.

The effects used in this movie, the visual, all are immaculate! Everything is so clear and detail (I watched in 2D but this definitely worth for 3D if you like those kind of gimmick). Really nice to watch. The duration of the movie (about 2.5 hours) also didn’t bother me whatsoever as the story was pretty epic. A really must watch!

One more thing, there is also Steven Spielberg’s appearance here as a cameo!

Have I posted this before? The 2012’s most anticipated movie for dancers! Step Up Revolution is just osom!

As a Gleek, of course I have my favorite songs covered by Glee’s cast. This is one of them, Baby It’s Cold Outside, sung by Kurt and Blaine.

Was browsing through my song list and found this song. It was my favorite but now that I listen to it again, it feels so ironic. LOL.
